Tim Ruhl rides the beautifully-prepared R.A. Racing Suzuki GSXR1100 through a very wet turn at Road Atlanta during the season finale of the WERA Power-Mist/Performance Machine National 4-Hour Endurance in November of 1993. Ruhl and his teammate Ian McKinstray scored an excellent sixth overall in the race. Another note about this photo – check out the reflection off some of the lettering on the fairing. That means I used flash in this shot, something very uncommon for road racing shots. In the film days sometimes you’d get caught with slower film in your camera when the rain rolled in and you had no choice but to try to get close to the track and use flash to make a decent shot.
