Flat Trackers Lead the Euros

AMA Grand National flat track racers Ricky Graham (No. 301) and Rodney Farris (No. 351) lead a group of European riders in the 1987 Daytona 200. Graham and Farris were racing as part of the SuperTeam, a group of flat track racers picked up to ride the Daytona 200 just like in the days before flat track and road racing were separated in the AMA Grand National Championship. The squad was backed by Jim France. I believe Lance Jones, Danny Walker and Dan Chivington were the other SuperTeam riders that year. In this photo coming out of the chicane Graham and Farris lead Brits Geoff Fowler (No. 617) and Roger Hurst (No. 607) and German Michael Galinski (No. 605). Fowler topped this group of riders finishing tenth.
