Denis Torres interviews Doug Toland during the 1986 Suzuki GSXR Cup Finals at Road Atlanta. At the time I believe Torres was a hard-working feature writer and producer for the TV weekly MotoWorld. MotoWorld was the first regular TV show featuring motorcycle racing that I can remember and a rider made the big time if they were featured on the show. Toland was a top club and pro rider from the West Coast. For a time he raced AMA Superbike for Vance & Hines Suzuki and later Formula Xtreme for Erion Honda. Many will recall that Toland made history when he became the first American to win the World Endurance title. That was in 1993.
