Voight Bros. at Grattan

Craig and Eric Voight teamed with John Craigmile and ran as Voight Brothers Racing in the WERA Grattan 8-Hour National Endurance at Grattan (Mich.) Raceway in July of 1989. Voight Brothers, racing a Yamaha FZR400, had an amazing battle for the Lightweight class win that day. Remarkably after eight hours of racing the top three Lightweight teams all finished on the same lap. In the end Voight Brothers were second to that day’s winner RAW Racing. RKN Racing was third. It certainly marked one of the closest Lightweight class finishes in the history of the series.
