Kipp as a WERA Novice

I was pleasantly surprised when going through some old photos and coming across this shot. It was taken during a WERA Sprint race at Gateway International Raceway in June of 1986. It shows David Booth (No. 758) leading what may be a B Production Novice race over Jim Still (No. 352) and none other than Tom Kipp (No. 450) on what may be a Yamaha FZ600. This is a rare photo of Kipp as a novice racer. I’m certain he didn’t stay novice long. I remember him racing a Yamaha FZ750 Superbike shortly after this era.
