The riders of Huber’s hometown of Reading, Pa., refused to let Huber fade into obscurity. Reading’s motorcyclists keeps his memory alive even today. Read here.

  1. Good story Larry on Billy Huber. He was one of Al Wilcox’s racing buddies and hero. Al was sad when he passed. Just a few years ago, Al pulled a folded poster out of his portfolio. It was a poster of Billy Huber winning Langhorn, Pa. race. Harley-Davidson would send these out to their dealers to advertise their wins and get some excitement flowing. I put it in a proper frame for Al and he hung it on the wall. Rest in Peace, Al and Billy.

  2. Yes, great story Larry and thanks for the reference Roger, about Al. Miss that guy.

As I live in the area of Reading, PA, I’ve often heard of him and it’s interesting how many motorcycle racers, young and old, are from these parts.(PA,NJ,MD,DE)
Must be the super curvy roads, wooded trails and open fields.

I am thinking there’s one heck of a race and bench race session, right now going on in Heaven with all these racers; Billy, Al, Gary and all.

  3. I would be interested in learning more about Billy Huber. My father (Richard) was his younger brother (family of 9 – none are living today). Uncle Billy died before I was born. I was born in 1962.
