Eric Bostrom had a free weekend and showed up unexpectedly at the AMA Supermoto race at USA International Raceway in Shawano, Wisconsin, on July 30, 2005. By this time Supermoto had clearly evolved into a specialized sport where normally only the regular series riders had any chance of doing well in a national. In spite of this E Boz turned in a respectable performance scoring ninth on his Red Bull KTM 450SMR in the second leg of the Shawano race just ahead of established Supermoto star Chris Fillmore.  In this photo Bostrom is in the pack battling Honda-mounted Andrea Bartolini, the 1999 FIM World 500cc Motocross Champion from Italy. Bartolini got past Bostrom in this race to finish eighth.
