Here’s a 1981 advertisement for Bassani Exhaust featuring Superbike racer Dennis Smith. Smith was one of the leading club racers in Southern California and had some strong finishes in AMA Superbike racing in the late 1970s and early ‘80s on his Team Cycle Tune Suzuki GS1000, highlighted by a sixth in the 1980 Daytona Superbike race. After his racing career Smith went on to be the West Coast Dunlop race tire distributor for over 20 years.
