Tom Ballantyne and Wendell Phillips pose for a photo with the Ballantyne Computer Services Inc. Suzuki Katana endurance racing machine. Phillips went from racing local West Coast endurance events to heading up two-time AMA Endurance racing champions Lockhart Racing. Look for my profile of Phillips in next week’s Cycle News. Check out the rear brake on that thing! Perhaps they subscribed to the ‘backing it in’ school of thought, and needed that monster brake to get it done. Odd that the rear is drilled, but the front isn’t, and the front calipers look wimpy compared to the rear.
BTW, Larry, it’s spelled Kanatuna.
