David Baffeleuf leads fellow KTM rider Jurgen Kunzel on Road America’s Briggs & Stratton Motorplex in an AMA Supermoto race in June of 2005. The race was held in probably the hardest rain ever at an AMA Supermoto race. There were little streams running across the track and the spray kicked up by the speeding Supermoto bikes practically blinded the riders in the back. Two-time Supermoto World Champion Thierry van den Bosch, 30, of France, showed off his rain riding skills in race one by pulling away to a convincing 6.6-second victory over local favorite Ben Carlson. Germany’s Kunzel was third, giving KTM a sweep of the podium finishers. Baffeleuf eventually finished fifth, just behind Jeff Ward.
