The St. Louis Dispatch has a story on Ryan Villopoto’s return to the Edward Jones Dome, the Supercross that ended his 2010 season. Read it here.

(UPDATE: 2:30 Central) — Villopoto just suffered a major crash in timed qualifying. He got out of shape in a whoop section, fought it for a long way and then got slammed hard to the ground. He took a minute or so to get up. He eventually got back on his bike and rode back to the pits. This could be a major setback for the points leader.

(Update: 3:30 Central) — I talked to Ryan and he said he came up short on the whoops and went down. He explained that it knocked the breath out of him, but nothing else and that he would be OK for the races tonight.
