JEREMY McGRATH KICKS OFF 2011 OFF ROAD TRUCK RACING SEASON ABOARD MONSTER/STRONGHOLD MOTORSPORTS PRO2

(NEWS RELEASE)

Los Angeles (March 18, 2011) – Anchored by seven time Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath, the Stronghold Motorsports team begins its championship quest as the 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series kicks off this weekend March 19th and 20th at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona.

McGrath will be making his debut in the new Monster Energy/ReadyLift Stronghold Motorsports Pro 2 Unlimited truck. Challenging the best competition in off road racing, he will also be lined up alongside teammate and 2010 Pro 2 Rookie of the Year, Rob Naughton who returns to compete in another Pro 2, for Stronghold Motorsports ReadyLift/Lucas Oil.

According to McGrath, “I am really looking forward to the start of the 2011 season! I am working with a fantastic group of people at Stronghold Motorsports – I was able to be involved with the building of my truck from the ground up…this is a dream. I am not getting out there to follow anybody around…I am looking to win! This season I’m planning on getting some great results and looking forward to some awesome racing!”

The off-season additions to the Stronghold lineup also include 2011 ProBuggy champion and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series television personality, Cameron Steele. Steele, a seasoned veteran in a variety of off road classes, will be making his first appearance in a Monster Energy/ReadyLift Stronghold truck this weekend as he makes the transition from open wheel buggy into the wildly competitive ProLite class. As Steele moves on to a new challenge, the experienced gained during his championship run will be invaluable to the team’s efforts as Brandon Bailey will now be competing full time in the Stronghold Motorsports/Yokohama tires ProBuggy class.

“It’s been an exciting off season to say the least,” explained Stronghold Managing Partner, Scott Bailey. “We believe we have assembled an amazing group who are both talented drivers and fantastic ambassadors for our sponsors and the sport. With crew chief, Dave Clark at the helm bringing it all together, we have high hopes for this upcoming short course season.”
