(NEWS RELEASE)
AMA booth will serve members and fans at U.S. rounds
PICKERINGTON, Ohio — With the stars of the AMA Supercross Championship poised to kick off the 2011 season in Anaheim, Calif., Jan. 8, the AMA is excited to be on location for what promises to kick off one of the most exciting championship battles in years.
“AMA Supercross is one of the world’s premier motorsports events, and the AMA is looking forward to another great season of these phenomenal athletes going head to head on some of the most challenging racetracks in history,” said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. “I’m pleased to report that in addition to our operational staff, AMA membership representatives will be present at all domestic rounds of the AMA Supercross Championship, providing fan support and membership services.”
With a centralized location at each of the Supercross venues, AMA staff will be available to sign up new members, support existing members and providing updates on key issues affecting the motorcycling community. In addition, visitors to the AMA booth can sign up for a chance to win two 2011 Kawasaki KLX110s and one 2011 Yamaha TTR110. The bike winners will be announced at the last round of AMA Supercross at Sam Boyd Stadium May 7.
Also available will be AMA hats, t-shirts, patches, pins and OEM-themed apparel. Those who join or renew at the AMA booth will receive a free gift.
“We encourage all Supercross fans and motorcyclists to visit our booth and learn about how they can help protect the future of motorcycling,” Dingman said. “From land-access issues to the misguided lead law that threatens kids’ dirtbikes and all-terrain vehicles, motorcyclists are getting hit on multiple fronts. The AMA is on the front lines, and we need more enthusiasts to join us in these fights to protect the sport for this generation and the next.”
