Chris “Opie” Caylor talks with former world champ Kevin Schwantz on pit road during the Honda Super Cycle Weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in August of 2006. Caylor raced Formula Xtreme and Supersport that season. He finished ranked 11th in the Lockhart-Phillips USA Formula Xtreme Series. In that series his best results came at Laguna and Road America where he finished 11th. In the Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship presented by Shoei, Caylor ended up 13th scoring a top-10 result at Fontana. Caylor raced for Safety First Suzuki. As for getting advice Caylor couldn’t talk to a better rider than Schwantz. Caylor later went to work for Schwantz as one of his riding school instructors.
