In going through some old racing programs the other day I came across this little gem. It’s an advertisement for the Cap’n Coty’s restaurant chain with Floridian AMA Superbike rider Glenn Barry serving as pitchman. This has to be the only restaurant ad I’ve seen using a Superbike racer to bring in customers. I have no idea if the chain still exists.

Sorry, you’ll have to get your seafood fix somewhere else while visiting Daytona. The Cap’n Coty’s has closed up and is now a Beach Street Gym. The other locations listed are a Moose Lodge and a motel.
