Sad news to report today. Racer Jesse Phibbs has passed away a little over a month after his first-lap crash in a Pro Singles Heat race at the Indy Mile on Aug. 28. The Indy Star has a report here. Our sympathies go out to Phibbs’ family and friends.

So very sad. We were at the Indy Mile and my wife took a picture of the grid for the Pro Singles race #1 and Jesse was on the outside front row. I’ve been keeping up with his fight for life on the Flattrack.com forums. Prayers go out for his parents and the rest of his family & friends. Godspeed Jesse…
