Stroud was a man on the move in 1992, racing not only in AMA and WERA action in the U.S., but also part time in the 500cc Grand Prix World Championships with ROC Yamaha. He finished 12th in Hungary and 11th at the French Grand Prix that season. Graves held off the part-time GP rider Stroud to finish sixth in the F-USA race.
