Rich Oliver power wheelies the Marlboro Yamaha YZR500 en route to shattering the Moroso Motorsports Park (West Palm Beach, Fla.) track record in qualifying with a 1:20 flat (101.275 mph) lap. Oliver won both legs of the F-USA that weekend and left Moroso nine points behind teammate Robbie Petersen with final at Road Atlanta the only race left. Oliver and Petersen’s Yamaha’s were hitting 170 mph plus down Moroso’s back straight. Oliver went on to win the F-USA title.
