Looks like a full field. Being a novice roadrace fan at that time I can’t name anyone. However, I would guess there are some future stars in this picture?

I think that’s Dale Quarterley getting the holeshot on the No. 2 Dutchman Suzuki. Someone’s going to have to jog my memory on the rest.

Your correct on the number 2 bike. The rider to the right is Carry Andrew from Hyper Cycle. This was the weekend that his teamate James Doomay broke his neck in practice on the fast back section. That accident ended James riding carreer. He was a very fast and talented rider and would have gone on to ride for Yoshimura. This first group was the GTO bikes 750 cc and up. My team was bike 23 in the GTU class 600cc and down. At that time we were Team Miller American. You can not see us in the photo. We finished third in this race. This brings back some great memories!!!!
