Fred Merkel and Carl Fogarty race in a World Superbike probably Donington Park in 1990. Combined these two riders won six World Superbike Championships and 67 race victories. Merkel won two World Superbike titles during the first two years of the series (1988 & ’89) and tallied eight-career wins. Statistically Fogarty is the all-time King of World Superbike earning 59-career wins. This photo was taken by Kel Edge – the World Superbike photographer.
