The Human Race Team’s crew takes on a ghost–like appearance during a pit stop at the WERA Nelson Ledges 24-Hour National Endurance race. The Nelson Ledges 24-Hour was one of the true iconic races in American road racing. The effort it took for teams to be competitive in the race was monumental. Bikes were pretty much trash after the race and basically had to rebuilt from the ground up. The track took on an eerie atmosphere at night with powerful lights from the racing motorcycles rhythmically lighting up the partying in the infield. At its peak the race drew a large crowds of fans, not so much of the racing, but of the 24-hour merrymaking.

Larry,
IF as I believe, that is from the ’87 race, then Genesis racing won in the production class and the Humans came in 2nd. Yamaha Motor Corp then ran full page adds, “First was Genesis, then came the Human race”( not a direct quote)
I crewed on Genesis’ team.
