I think Jay was part of the SuperTeam put together by Jim France. The idea was to put some of the better flat track guys on bikes for the 200. I think Morehead was part of it, maybe Lance Jones, Filice and a few others. It was a cool concept. Wished they did it today. It would be great to see Coolbeth, Mees, Wiles, etc. racing in the 200. They’d do well.

I believe this is the year Revin Kevin Rentzell came in 3rd in the Daytona 200. Maryland dirt track Ace from Gary Nixon’s stable, Rodney Farris, was on the Super Team too. We miss Hot Rod and Old #9.
