James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing was one of the leading teams in the 2009 Sun Trust Moto-GT Series. The team with riders Paul James and Jeff Johnson and fill in Shawn Higbee earned three podium finishes on their Buell including a win at Road America to finish fourth in the championship. One of the original Moto-GT squads the team has raced the championship so far throughout its four-year run. Interestingly James’ day job is working as director product communications for Harley-Davidson. Here’s an interview he did recently on Pit Pass Radio.
And if this isn’t the team’s theme song it should be, plus maybe they should consider changing their competition number to 49. The website is: www.jghbracing.com .

Too bad you can’t run a plate that reads “Funk #49” and rig the bike up with big speakers and have the song blaring around the track. Good luck this coming season. Are they running Moto-GT again?

No more Moto-GT, so we will run the Daytona 200 and some select DSB sprint races, probably Road America and Mid-Ohio. Hope to see you at the track…
