Pascal’s Ducati Superbike Debut

In 1991 Doug Polen split time between the AMA and World Superbike Championships. Polen’s absence from the 1991 Road America AMA Superbike round gave Canadian Pascal Picotte his first opportunity to sit on the Ferracci Ducati as a substitute. Picotte qualified 12th, but during the race got more confident with the bike and finished a credible ninth.

Here Picotte (34) leads Rueben McMurter (24), Tommy Lynch and Linnley Clarke early in the race. Picotte won the Pro Twins race that weekend on the Ferracci Ducati.
