My favorite outdoor national is Washougal. The setting, in the tall pines of the Pacific Northwest just outside of Portland, Ore., is among the most scenic in all of motorcycle racing. The crowds they get for the race are amazing. Here is the start of a moto in 2004 with Joseph Oehlhof (57) getting the holeshot on his Subway Honda. Ricky Carmichael (4) won the moto over Chad Reed (22) and Kevin Windham (14).
