This undoubtedly had to be one of the most talent-filled podiums ever – the AMA Formula 1 podium at Loudon in 1986, with (righ to left) second-place Kork Ballington, a four-time World Champion, winner, the late Randy Renfrow who went on to win the AMA Formula 1 that season and future three-time World Champion Wayne Rainey, who finished third that day.
This marked the final season of Formula 1 racing in AMA.
