While the Springfield Mile is much more famous, the Springfield TT and Short Track Grand Nationals are held at the neighboring Illinois State Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Arena (more popularly just called The Arena). This is a beautiful setting for a race. I shot this photo at dusk during one of the Heat races.
