The Memphis AMA Superbike race in 1987 with Kathleen Coburn on her Nescafé Suzuki about to get lapped by the ultra-fast trio of Wayne Rainey (6), Bubba Shobert (67) and Doug Polen (23). That was a miserably hot weekend and riders out numbered the spectators. Needless to say the series never returned to the track.

Aside from the fact that she was a very quick chick, the poster Shoei did of Kathleen in her leathers that year was AWESOME too!!!

Hey Pat. Isn’t that when Kathleen had the restraining order thrown on you?

Didn’t she used to hang with Toni Sharpless back in the mid 80’s? There were a bunch of Canuckians that would come down together. Malcom McNair, Sharpless, and I think Kate’s boyfriend used to race too. Can’t remember his name, but he was a big guy. She was pretty hot, eh? (cue theme song from ‘The Great White North’)
